The department of Pedodontics works for the purpose of achieving a high and ethical standard of practice, promotion of education and research in pediatric dentistry. The primary concern of the department is to promote the oral health of, and be the advocates for, infants, children, adolescents and people with special health care needs. Through its exemplary educational, research and service programs, the Department of Pedodontics
- 1.Teaches undergraduate students, house surgeons and postgraduate students, the skills necessary for improving and maintaining the health of infants, children and adolescents including those with special health care needs.
- 2.Trains families effectively in preventive measures that ensure a lifetime of excellent oral health
- 3.Promotes community oral health and develops policies and guidelines relating to the promotion and maintenance of good oral health in children.
